Welcome,
My name is Myles!
I am here to help you reach your full potential!
Increasing human performance has been my life’s work, and passion. 'The Gym' is where I feel I can have the most positive impact on other humans. I have extensive certifications in strength training, yoga, and nutrition, but what makes me a uniquely effective coach is the powerful combination of my broad coaching experience, the wisdom I gained from strong mentors, and my extensive competitive history across multiple sports including Junior A Hockey, NCAA Div.1 Lacrosse, and Weightlifting. If you are deadly serious about making fitness a part of your life you've found the right place.

1 on 1 Mentorship & Program Design
I started coaching fitness at the age of 21 and haven’t stopped since. I’ve coached well over a thousand CrossFit classes, worked as a personal trainer on and off, and been part of a High Performance Training Center focused on developing professional hockey players. About a decade ago, I was the Head Coach at CrossFit 46 in Kristiansand, Norway and when I returned to Canada, I began 'Remote 1 on 1 Coaching' to continue working with some amazing people I left overseas. Since then, one-on-one coaching has been the main focus of my career, and I’ve been fortunate to help people from all over the world experience their unique version of elite fitness with this style of coaching. Now that I also have a gym of my own, I am happy to support the people in my community.

Who is this for, why would I sign up? Do I really need a coach to get in shape?
You certainly do not have to, and I will reference a beautiful quote from one of the preeminent masters of form and colour and then adapt it to our world of fitness.
“If you, unknowing, are able to create masterpieces in colour, then un-knowledge is your way. But if you are unable to create masterpieces in colour out of your knowledge, then you ought to look for knowledge.” - Johannes Itten
From a similar vein, if you are able to experience the fitness you want going by feel or intuition and following random things on tik tok, then giv’er. You are blessed with some great genetics and will be just fine on your own. However… if you are stuck, unsure if you are doing the right thing, and not experiencing the level of fitness you’d like despite trying your best, then hey, you probably need some help. That is why a coach, who has done the thing you are trying to do, and has helped over a hundred others do the same, is likely going to be a powerful catalyst for change in your life.
Whats the vibe?
The 1 on 1 Mentorship is a lot of work for both of us, but it is work we are excited to do. Unless you are going to take steroids, or go back in time and get new parents (get some better genetics), there are no hacks or shortcuts to the top of this mountain. I do not spend time as a coach looking for hacks, or sell the idea to my clients that I have some secret sauce that is going to make their journey easier. Rather, we set goals, identify the work it takes to get there, and then work together to develop you into a person who is willing, and excited, to face and complete the work necessary to get you where you want to go.
In other words, we prepare the child for the road, not the road for a child.
I will most likely increase your training volume, and also make that training far more difficult, and also require more mental engagement. However, despite the difficult,y it will be designed specifically for your individual goals, needs, and schedule and get you were you want to go more efficiently in the long run.

"I cannot recommend Myles enough. I've been working with him for three and a half years now and have not just seen improvements in my strength and physique, but also how I think about fitness, nutrition, and health more broadly. He is patient, kind, thoughtful, and will call you out. He cares deeply about my specific goals, but will also challenge me when I am being complacent or unrealistic. I am very happy with our results and I am very excited to see where we go from here."

"Before working with Myles, I was wasting time and energy on random workouts that I found online. I had no direction, no structure, and questionable results. I decided to hire Myles as a remote coach because I wanted to get professional guidance and accountability for my fitness goals. Myles has been a fantastic coach who has customized my workouts and nutrition to fit my lifestyle and preferences. He has been supportive, holds me accountable, and is encouraging throughout the process. Thanks to Myles, I have achieved amazing results in my fitness, and well-being, I have lost body-fat, gained muscle, increased my strength, and improved my flexibility. I often get asked what I do to get in such good shape and I simpy say, "It is all my remote-coach". If you are looking for a remote-coach who can help you transform your body, look no further than Myles. He is the best investment you can make for your health and fitness."
From Coach Myles:
Here is Mike, a non-powerlifter Deadlifting a massive 405lbs x 10 reps. Mike performs functional strength training 4-5 days/week for no more than 45 minutes and this allows him to hide elite strength and a world-class physique under that suit.

"I began training with Myles following a wrist injury; throughout this time he was able to create a program that focused on the rehabilitation of this injury while also improving technique and strength in other areas.
Working with Myles has had a significant positive impact on my physical and mental well-being. Prior to injuring my wrist, I was struggling to make class times for group training, or would do repetitive workouts which resulted in a canceled gym membership.
When creating workouts Myles listens to my likes and dislikes, and pinpoints areas that need improvement; making each session something to look forward to.
Working out has always been an important stress reliever, and I could not be happier with the decision to continue working with Myles for my programming. I highly recommend remote coaching with Myles to anyone looking for individualized training that is guaranteed to improve your health, fitness, and day to day life."

When did you work with Myles as a Remote Coaching Client and for how long?
I started working with Myles in March 2023, so almost a year ago now!
If you can think way back to the days before we trained together, can you remember what inspired you to reach out and hire a Remote Coach?
I was very motivated to find an alternative to surfing as I had just made the decision to move to the city, away from the beach. I not only wanted an outlet to be active during the week, but I also wanted to continue to be able to surf at a high level. Remote coaching seemed like the perfect option for me. It was going to give me the ability to work closely with a coach that knows me and the goals I wanted to achieve both in and out of the water, while giving me the flexibility to train when it worked best for me.
What has working with Myles helped you achieve and/or experience? This could be in life, in sport, or simply in the gym.
If you had told me that moving to the city would mean I would be surfing better, I would have thought you were crazy. Working remotely with Myles has allowed me to gain strength and endurance in the gym so that I can surf with more power and energy when I do get the time to be in the water. Not only have I felt better in the water, but also in my day to day fitness and confidence. Feeling stronger in general is a very satisfying feeling and I could never thank Myles enough for being so helpful both in and out of the gym!
What would you say to someone who is considering remote-coaching but is on the fence?
You will never regret it! As an introverted human with a busy schedule and not much gym experience, remote-coaching gave me the confidence, tools, and flexibility I needed to start my training journey.
Now that you are an experienced lifter, do you have any advice for someone just starting out on their fitness journey?
Keep going!!!!!!! At the end of a consistent year of training 3-4 days a week, I only feel like I have just scratched the surface of feeling strong and fit. Its very exciting to see the results and think that its only up from here.

When did you work with Myles as a Remote Coaching Client and for how long?
I worked with Myles both personally and professionally from 2020 - 2022.
If you can think way back to the days before we trained together, can you remember what inspired you to reach out and hire a Remote Coach?
I reached out to Myles for a remote coach because I continuously struggled with direction and consistency. I constantly scoured the internet for the “right” workout plan and would start strong but always fall off in a couple of weeks. Having a coach to guide me prevented me from having to search and helped with the accountability of consistency.
What has working with Myles helped you achieve and/or experience? This could be in life, in sport, or simply in the gym.
Wow, this a multifaceted on so many levels. Myles helped me to understand that it’s about creating a disciplined practice rather than getting swept up by the new sexy thing. He taught me how to use my view of myself (a strong person) to my advantage rather than the narrative of the past (an injured person) to drive my journey. Myles showed me how if you treat the gym as a sacred place and respect it deeply, it becomes your sacred place where you grow not only physically, mentally, and spiritually. He showed me that when all in life feels blown up and overwhelming, the gym grounds you and that iron never lies. The gym is truth. All of this has helped me accomplish the body I wanted, the mind I wanted and the ability to defy age like I wanted.
What would you say to someone who is considering remote-coaching but is on the fence?
I would tell them that if they have a history of bad self talk, unused gym memberships and searching for the next best thing, remote coach with Myles. He understands and works with all of those things while giving you the skills to be the driver of your own personal fitness. I used to tend to rely on personal training and classes (which I still attend occasionally) but it is I who is responsible for my fitness journey now. I rely only on myself. Myles really delivers that power which is greatest gift you can get in the gym.

Now that you are an experienced lifter, do you have any advice for someone just starting out on their fitness journey?
My advice would be listen, learn, and be consistent. I am an experienced lifter because I listened to Myles, learned from Myles and have become consistent and dedicated. The more you learn, the more confident you become. The gym will shift from a place that envokes fear and insecurity to a place that envokes confidence and joy. Embrace the discomfort because it’s all part of the process. And remember, training is a life long practice, there is no end date, every shift, change, new goal is just a new chapter in your story of fitness. You have an inner warrior in you and I’ve never met someone better than Myles to help you grow that.
